galvanizing steel sheets depending on bath nickel micro-alloying grade Metalurgia
(57) 2005, nr. 12, p. 5 This work aims to study
corrosion behavior of thermal galvanizing pieces processed in a bath that was
micro-alloyed by Nickel in different concentrations (0.02%; 0.06%; 0.09%;
0.11%; 0.16%; and 0.20%). galvanizing
bath becomes more fluid by micro-alloying and on deposed layers may be
remarked a inter-metallic layers thickness decrease like FexZny,
while pure zinc layer on surface grows in thickness. This phenomena takes
place up to 0.11% Ni concentration in thermal galvanizing bath and above this
the inter-metallic layers thickness remain approximately constant. Because of
decreasing the inter-metallic layers thickness the samples have the lowest
corrosion speed at 0,11% Ni
concentration at wet heat and saline mist. Therefore, in industrial
galvanizing installations an important saving of zinc quantity used may be
made, getting in the same time zinc coated pieces with higher corrosion

temperature on the real solidification module of castings Metalurgia
(57) 2005, nr. 12, p. 12 In some previous papers the authors
defined the concept of real solidification module of castings. In the case of
permanent-mould casting the real partial solidification module for some zones
of the casting and implicit the total solidification module of the casting
can be modified by forced cooling or heating of some mould walls. In this
paper it is established the computational mode for the real solidification
module in this case. There are established too the equations to calculate the
cooling coefficients used in the equation of the real solidification module.
There is established too, an equation to calculate the temperature that the
mould must be heated when we wish to multiply the real solidification module
with a factor “n”. In the case when the heating temperature for the mould
wall is determined based on other criteria, it is calculated a fraction of
the part surface that is in contact with the mould which temperature must be

evolution in the drawing process of the steel wires (by practical
measurements), which can be found in one of the three next variants: 1.

this paper, one presents a new solution regarding the coal’s drying. The
solution has been experimented in the case of drying ceramics and separately
timber, the gaseous agent crossing the coal layer alternatively, by a system
of flaps. One also presents some thermic and gasodynamic computations and a
thermic balance, the drying efficiency reaching 93%. D.C.:

development of drawing process for fine wires from hardening metallic

(57) 2005, nr. 12, p. 37 Starting
from real strain state analysis of the deformed wire the producer of a such
product can have the certainty to obtain precise sizes with a high quality,
with a proper metallographic structure and superior physical-mechanical
characteristics. Stress-strain curves deformation, obtained from experimental
tests, can deliver the precise information concerning regimes of wiredraw.
The yield strength values obtained from Ludwik-Hollomon material law, give
the measure of the limits for tension of drawing tension (stress) for a whole
technological process of wire drawing. In this paper it was underlined the
effect of cold hardening on yield strength and it was determined a law of
material for two qualities of steels which an important weight in wire
